Celebrating Failure

I did experience failure this semester. Some were in this class. For one, not having the resources available to me to complete some of the assignments. I do not have the video or audio equipment to complete some of the assignments. I also do not have places to do interviews with random individuals.
I also had a failure outside of this class. I am not doing well in one of my other classes. Other than failing at each segment in the class, those were my failures for this semester.
I learned that, at times, you are expected to have resources that may not be available to you. Also, I learned that I need to be more productive with the time that I am using.
I may have more experience at failure than many of the other students in this class. And, therefore, I have had some experience in coping with failures. Perhaps one of my personal flaws is that I do not like to fail. And, If I do fail at something I usually don't like to give up and will learn from my mistakes and try again until I succeed. Once again, I have had many failures in my past that I have had to deal with. This class has shown me that failure is not something unique to me. It does happen to other people as well. Did it change my perspective on failure. Probability not. I still do not like to fail and will continue to learn from my failures and try to apply those experiences to future endeavors in order to make them a success. Am I more likely now to take a risk than I was four months ago? Probably not. I tend to make educated decisions, if the facts are there to make the venture appear to be a reasonable endeavor to enter into, I would give it my best shot.

  1. I agree with you that sometimes failure just makes me want to try again even more. I went surfing and failed at it, but I want to go back and try my hand at the sport again, because I enjoyed it so much despite my failing to stand on the board. I also agree that it is important to take educated risks. For me, I see a difference between being risky (good) and being reckless (bad). Good job on this post. 2. Hello Gregory. I too, was failing one of my courses, specifically Business Stats and I had to drop that course because I didn’t want to risk having a bad grade, where it would affect my GPA. Even with educated decisions, there is still some type of risk involved but I wouldn’t blame you for having to make educated decisions in the first place. 4. Hey Gregory,
I was also failing a course last semester. It really takes a toll on your confidence when you consider yourself to be an outstanding student. I had the same problem with Business Finance. I'm currently retaking the class and have done much better thus far. I'm extremely happy with the decisions i've made and how they have affected my future already. Check out the link to my page!
